Built in 1935 during the Japanese era, the Penghu Living Museum was originally the residence of the Penghu Prefectural Governor and later served as the county magistrate’s residence after Taiwan’s retrocession. It is now a designated historic building.
The architecture features a rare blend of Japanese and Western styles, with traditional tiled roofs and round Western-style windows. Inside, rich exhibits recount the pioneering spirit and development history of Penghu’s early settlers.
